INTRAKAT SIGNED THREE NEW PROJECTS WITH THE MUNICIPALITIES OF ARTA, DRAMA & PYRGOS
Peania, January 16, 2008 – Intrakat undertook three new projects for the construction of Metropolitan Optical Fibre networks across the Greek national region, after signing the relevant contracts with the municipalities of Arta, Drama and Pyrgos of a total estimated value of 2.85 million (1.24 mil. 0.91 mil. and 0.71 mil. respectively).
The construction of these projects involves the supply, installation and safeguard of the proper operation of the subterranean optical fibre networks infrastructure, of the infrastructure of the active telecommunications equipment and its connectivity to the network, as well as of the wireless and access network infrastructure for the above mentioned municipalities. The total length of the metropolitan optical fibre networks measure to approximately 39.11 km (18.25 km in Arta, 12.19 km in Drama and 8.67 km in Pyrgos) and the works are expected to be completed by the end of 2008.
With these projects Intrakat realizes its strategic target for further development and expansion of its activity in broadband projects. The company holds a leading position in the specific sector and a competitive advantage in the execution of complex projects due to its extensive experience and high specialization. Intrakat has already completed or is currently executing a significant number of similar projects for the municipalities of Kalamata, Rhodes, Aigio, Katerini, Kavala, Patra, Orestiada, Messini, Chios and N.Ionia Volos.
