NTRAKAT – STRATEGIC PLANNING AIMING AT PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS, RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE PROJECTS & HIGH SPECIALIZATION SECTORS
Peania, Tuesday 04/02/2014 – INTRAKAT, the construction arm of INTRACOM HOLDINGS, has succeeded during the critical financial circumstances prevailing to maintain a stable position among the top Greek construction companies. This has been achieved by strategic choices, careful planning at reasonable investments and continuous expansion into new business areas.
INTRAKAT Group’s strategic plan for the upcoming interval focuses in development sectors which include public infrastructure works, renewable energy sources projects (waste to energy, wind farms) and high specialization sectors such as oil & gas, fiber optic networks, construction of hospital units and steel structures. At the same time, the group pursues to improve operational efficiency, to expand into new international markets presenting a business interest such as Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa with the support of the INTRAKAT Business Development team, to optimize costs and develop synergies within the Group and INTRACOM HOLDINGS.
Currently INTRAKAT Group executes significant projects in its fields of activity, including the construction of the road section of Potidaia – Kassandreia in Halkidiki of 42 m. euro budget, the Thessaloniki Ring Road of 41.4 m. euro budget, the reinforcement of the Aposelemi dam’s reservoir of 38 m. euro budget, the Filiatrino dam of 19.3 m. euro budget, the construction of a wind farm in Viotia of 31.5 m. euro budget, the installation of telemetry counters for large customers of low voltage for DEDDIE SA of 19.8 m. euro budget, the construction of the new railway sections Kiato – Rhododafni and Rhododafni – Psathopyrgos & tunnel Panagopoula, through joint ventures and with the ratio of INTRAKAT for both projects amounting to 99.3 m. euro and the new kindergarten of the Greek – American Educational Institute of 5.8 m. euro budget.
In the field of waste management, the Group participates in tenders whose procedures are in progress and are related to waste treatment plants throughout the country and particularly in Western Greece, Aitoloakarnania and Attica Prefectures. Recently the joint venture “ARCHIRODON GROUP-INTRAKAT-ENVITEC” undertook the waste management project of Serres and awaits the completion of procedures for signing the related contract. The modern waste management facility of a budget of approximately 40 m. euro, will be managing for a 27 years period about 90 tons of waste. The project will be financed by own capital and European community funds.
INTRAKAT group’s total backlog amounts to approximately 325 m. euro.
